Stress
Did you know that pendulum clocks all begin to swing in rhythm after a period time? Entrainment is the gradual modification of natural rhythms in the body based on a specific rhythm. Most people still consider the brain the dominant force in maintaining balance. Research from the past 2-3 decades shows that it is the heart that actually will entrain or modify your overall rhythms and not the brain. Metabolic resistance is a collection of symptoms that results in high risk for disease. The following has been identified as putting you at risk for MR:
- High blood pressure
- Triglycerides over150 mg/dL
- HDL cholesterol less than 40 mg/dL in men or 50 mg/dL in women
- BMI greater than 25
Other risk factors include:
- Family history of Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease
- Polycystic ovary syndrome
- Minimal activity

Digestive Health
When food leaves the stomach it goes into the small intestine. This is where 90% of absorption of nutrients into the blood stream occurs. The small intestine digests the food so nutrients can be used by the body - this takes place through the wall of the intestine. Carbohydrates start digestion in the mouth and require adequate chewing so they can be broken down. Protein are broken down in the stomach into amino acids and then absorbed in the small intestine. When foods are not chewed and broken down, they arrive in the small intestine unavailable for absorption and use by the body adding an additional burden to the larger intestine.
People that eat too fast also eat more food than they need because the brain doesn't register they have eaten. You take in more food than you need and your body does not have the benefit of the nutrients and your colon has a larger burden leading to constipation, gas, indigestion, heartburn.
Constipation is one of the most common complaints. When asked about bowel health, many people will say, I go regularly, once a day and I am fine. If your bowels only more 1x day - you have the residue of 6 meals or more sitting in your colon!
When food sits for too long in the bowel the toxic waste is reabsorbed into your system. Ensuring a more regular movement of food through the bowel requires enzymes and enough water, fiber and activity. Improving your bowel regularity can do great things for your health if, like babies you would eat and then evacuate!

I say all of this because the products, OTC and prescription, that "manage" the symptoms of heart burn ultimately interfere with digestion - long term. So over time unless changes are made you may not have so much heart burn but you probably develop constipation and eventually need your gall bladder out or develop another health problem.

Resveratrol is a protective compound produced by grapevines and other plants, in response to environmental stresses. It is a polyphenol, a natural antioxidant, which protects cells against naturally occurring substances known as free radicals.
• Resveratrol is a phytoestrogen. Phytoestrogens are naturally occurring plant-derived compounds that are structurally similar to estrogen. Plant estrogens are weaker forms of estrogen, yet are able to support thesame physiological activity.
• As a phytoestrogen it supports women’s health during and after menopause. It is believed that Resveratrol has a positive effect on bone and support the health of bone-building cells (osteoblasts). Therefore, resveratrol may help to balance the bone building process as women age.
• Resveratrol helps support cardiovascular health because it contains polyphenolic compounds that are known to possess antioxidant and vascular supporting properties. Liver Health
Milk thistle contains a flavonoid complex known as silymarin that is responsible for the medicinal benefits of the plant. Silibinin is the most active component of silymarin.
Milk thistle extract may protect the cells of the liver by blocking the entrance of harmful toxins and helping remove these toxins from the liver cells. As with other flavonoids, silymarin is a powerful antioxidant. Silymarin has also been shown to regenerate injured liver cells. Recent studies have shown that silymarin has the ability to block fibrosis, a process that contributes to the eventual development of cirrhosis in persons with inflammatory liver conditions secondary to alcohol abuse or hepatitis.

Chlorella
Improved digestion. With this you may also notice regularity, decreased body or breath odor, less bloating. This along with other more subtle improvements will occur with low doses.
In the 1950’s it was discovered that Chlorella promoted the rapid growth of healthy bacteria (lactobacillus) helping to keep the colon healthy. The chlorophyll also keeps colon clean while the fiber binds to the toxins expelling it.
Chlorella has been demonstrated to remove heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury, arsenic and other toxins by actually binding with them so they may be pulled from the bloodstream. You would have to have a Hair Mineral Analysis to measure more specifically. This is also unclear at times because the first HMA may not show heavy metals until you start pulling them (chelating) from your body. Chronic exposure of Heavy Metals will not show up in the hair as the metals bury deep into the tissue, bones, brain and other organs leaving the hair. The metals usually show up on the second sample.
With the majority of the population exposed to mercury due to industry pollution and rainwater runoff seeping into the ground, waterways and fish, arsenic due to the exposure through public drinking water and cadmium due to second hand smoke, most people would benefit from the use of Chlorella.
It can take 3-6 months for heavy metals to begin to be removed depending on the amount of chlorella taken, your particular health and type of exposure. Chlorella is safe since it is a whole food. See precautions if you are on bloodthinners. It should be gradually increased to give your digestive system time to adjust. You may have a clearing response initially.
Because of the fiber content in chlorella's cell wall and other nutritional factors, when some people begin to take chlorella for the first time they may go through cleansing reactions with some purging of the bowel. This cleansing reaction may take the form of increased intestinal activity such as gas, cramping, constipation or diarrhea. This same type of cleansing reaction can occurs if you were to switch from a processed food diet low in fiber and enzymes to a whole food diet rich in fiber.
For this reason, start out with less than the suggested amount and gradually increase up to the recommended dose over 2 or more weeks.
Chlorella is a whole food and because of this you cannot take too much. It is naturally detoxifying and you may experience the cleansing reaction.
Many people find 5-7 gms to be adequate when detoxifying from metals.
Yes, chlorella has been shown to promote strong immune systems. Children can take 1/2 to 1/4 the adult dose depending on size
Ideally, it should be taken in small dosages throughout the day. Do not take after coffee or with any fiber powders.
